NOT RECALLING SINS

Hebrews 8:10-13, Nehemiah 9:17 b
"For I will be merciful to their mistakes and no longer remember their sins" (Hebrews 8:12).

Have you ever been hurt by parents, brothers, sisters, brothers or others? I believe all have been hurt whether it be by their own families or others. But if you then forgive them, continue to forget? Part of definitely answered, "Yes I forgive him, but ... .... Ahem, if you forget it is difficult for me!"

It is true to forget the mistakes of our people is not easy so just to be forgotten, but as children of God, we must be able to do it, that is to forgive and forget! God's Word written, "But if ye do not forgive, then your heavenly Father will not forgive your mistakes" (Mark 11:26).

JESUS OUR GREAT HIGH PRIEST

Therefore he is able also to save to the uttermost those who come unto God by Him. Because he always lives to be their mediator. (Hebrews 7:25)



Hebrew Scripture was first written to the Christians who came from Jewish backgrounds. Therefore, the author uses the framework of Jewish thought to convey his message. We know the Jewish religion or the church lay people can not face God directly in the temple of God, let alone entered the room in which the most holy space that became a symbol of the glory of God's presence. Race can only be gathered in the courtyard outside. Only the imamlah are permitted to enter the sacred space. But that is only allowed to enter the holy space of a high priest and then only once a year to make an offering of reconciliation with the people of God. Therefore the position of high priest has tremendous importance in Judaism. It was he who brought the people of prayer and offerings to God.
